Hello, Checking in . . . Coming from FSX/VRS Superbug/Tacpack to see what P3D is all about, unfortunately have purchased P3Dv4 . . . Considering refund for P3Dv4 . . . Available for P3Dv4 flights and any suggestions on whether to change to P3Dv3 . . .

Hi Rhino,
Sorry to take so long to reply. I was out of town for a bit. The fire suppression was civilian. I flew the Canadair CL215 (round engines) when dropping and when birddogging the mighty Cessna310R....in Manitoba the bird dog pilot is also the air traffic controller. I spent some time in ATC so it was a good fit. Spent some time on fires in my rotary wing period as well.

Greetings all.

Long time flight simmer going back to the mid 1980s with Hellcat Ace on the Amiga and MS FS on DOS.

Never a real pilot...sigh.

My main mount these past decades has been the Falcon franchise, including over a 1000 hours in Falcon BMS, 200+ of it online. But have also flown the ED Flanker series circa 1995 and others like Janes Longbow, Microprose Strike Eagle and countless others long forgotten.

I have also flown alot of hardcore heavies like the PMDG birds in FSX and now P3dv4 both offline and with AVSIM.

I have owned the VRS TP and SB for FSX since 2013. I recently upgraded to the P3dv4 version of these. Im a little rusty in the SB weaponeering and may need a wee bit of time to refresh myself. My traps are pretty good though AFAIK. Never really mastered the refueling in this sim though so need some work there. I can aerial refuel like a champ in the hardcore sim Falcon though so I understand the concepts for whatever that's worth.

Also a big DCS flier with the A10C and now awaiting eagerly the hardcore DCS F18C (pre-purchased). I also have the F5E but dont much like it.

I also am a tanker and own SB Pro.

As the Blue Angels say, just glad to be here.

Cheers.

Forgot to mention that my usual best fly times are Saturday nights, between work and the prone-to-violence-cop-wife's tolerance of my hobby.
